Puppetry is all the rage in Philadelphia once again, and Studio 34 is back on the map as a hub for puppeteers to show their work. Come bask in the warm glow of our stage for two nights of wonderful puppets! This is a special Fringe Fest installment of Studio 34's regular puppet slams where a smorgasbord of puppeteers will perform their acts. There are so many things you can do with puppets! Will you laugh? Will you shed a tear? You will definitely be amazed. And, maybe, you will see a shooting star in the clear night sky on your way out the door...no promises on that one though!
Puppet slams are traditionally evening events for an adult audience.
Studio 34 is a mixed-use yoga/healing/arts spot in West Philly named for the trolley that stops
out front. All year long we host art, comedy, dance, music, poetry and theatre in our gallery,
lounge, and studio spaces, as well as healing services, 30 weekly yoga classes. And a wide array of workshops.

About the Artist
The Philly puppet slams are hosted and organized collectively by local puppeteers. Although we're not a collective (yet), we are a bunch of folks who believe in the power and transformation of live handmade storytelling, and who are coordinating to have more of that in our city.
Lacey Mack is the organizer and emcee of this year's Fringe Fest slam.
