2026 Philly Fringe lineup just announced! Tickets are on sale now.
Lonesome Town, USA - where the smoke settles into the shape of any number of sexy, seedy characters. And among them: PRIVATE DICK.
Richard Dickinson, a classic noir man - Private Investigator by day, alcoholic by....also day.
But is a little hair of the dog and red string enough to solve the case of his missing wife? Will the citizens of Lonesome Town lend Dick a hand? And can he trust a certain MEMBER of the force?
Private Dick is on the case in this comedy clown noir.
And this time the investigation is INTERNAL.

Kel Fleming (they/them) is a Philadelphia-based stage manager, director, and writer. Kel is currently the Production Stage Manager at the Academy of Vocal Arts, an Opera school in Rittenhouse. Kel is also a founding member of The Freaks, a sketch comedy group focusing on new works with an irreverent flair. As an artist, Kel focuses on the creation of new political, psychedelic, absurd, and comedic theatrical pieces, finding the balance between suspended disbelief and grounded reality, and how theatre enhances our understanding of the human condition. Upcoming Works: Private Dick (Performer/Writer) Selected Credits include: Variety Pack Vol. 3 (PM), Falstaff (SM, AVA), Le Nozze di Figaro (SM, AVA), Talking to Og (SM, PlayPenn), Space Opera (SM, Obvious Agency), Cosi Fan Tutte (SM, AVA).
Brittney Anderson (she/her) is a director, playwright, dramaturg, and arts administrator currently working in Development at the Wilma Theater. Brittney is a politically driven and collaborative artist with a passion for new work development. Her work explores how we engage with timeless socio-political matters through the lens of absurdism, satire, and “cynical whimsy”. Brittney is a radical collaborator, investigating traditional structures of art making to innovate how we create and engage with theater. Her work has been seen in the Philadelphia Fringe Festival, and Variety Pack Comedy Festival, on The Refugee Monologue Podcast and with The Void Theatre Collective.
Impulse Control Freaks is a performance group based in Philly. We start with sketch comedy and string ‘em together to make plays that are funny before you even show up. We’re nerds for deep lore and love nothing more than committing fully to the bit. Life is hard enough as it is. A night out at a live show should be a goodass time. Freaks rise up.
