You just had a fight with a family member. Blinding rage was summoned and vicious words were thrown, and you feel like no one left the ring getting what they actually wanted. You are now alone, in your room, rewriting the script inside your head. If you said this, they would say that, etc.

But what if your rewriting doesn’t end there? What about the break-up you had; the one that felt like the end of the world? What about the asteroid that will cross paths with our planet, one that's truly the end of the world, and we were too busy making the wrong choices to prevent our mutual destruction?

room/in/nation is as interactive and anti-disciplinary of a performance as real life is, playing out differently each performance. Starting with small, mundane choices than catapult us towards our fate, room/in/nation has multiple pathways and unique endings determined by improvisational choices made by the performers and checkpoints you the audience have to face together.

Hopefully, we all make the "right" choice. Or at least, break the cycle of regret in our heads.

About the Artist

Zeze Schorsch (she/they) is hungry, horny, hairy, haunted and uses any artistic medium to deal with that. Her work usually needs to happen in front of people, though. Since choreographing her first concert "WISDOM TEETH" in 2018, Schorsch has performed on stages throughout Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, New York, and now Philadelphia, PA. Here she has presented work in Cedar Becher & Annie Peterson’s YIELD series, choreographed for the Flamboyance Award-winning "Little Orphan Annie But All Adults" by Gene Farbe, and performed in Adam Kerbel’s immersive "We Pull The Trigger" for last year's Cannonball. This last Halloween, Schorsch collaborated with Becher on a 24-hour performance "To Time" tackling grief, resilience, and inevitability presented @hallpasshallpasshallpass.
