Cecilia Corrigan (@ceciliakcecilia) is an NYC based writer and performer (originally from Philadelphia) whose work blends literary forms with clowning, movement and comedic camp. As an actor, she has appeared in both film and theatrical roles. She has performed with artists such as Eric Andre (as his favorite femme sociopath), Steve Buscemi (in a show about the apocalypse), and Hari Nef (as her simping, murderous assistant).
Her upcoming theater projects include a contemporary queer adaptation of Moliere’s The Misanthrope (Bedlam). Recent residencies include Marble House Project (Artist in Residence, 2024) and Issue Project Room (Artist in Residence, 2016-17). At Issue, she created Motherland, a video installation and theater piece which went on to run at The Brick in 2017. She was awarded the Madeline P. Plonsker Prize for her first volume of poetry, Titanic, (Northwestern University Press, 2014). She is also the author of the chapbooks Cream (Capricious, 2016) and True Beige (Trafficker, 2013). Corrigan also writes for TV and film, with several original projects currently in development.
