About the Artist

PJ Casbar and Tom McCormack are the creators and performers behind The Light Between, a queer theatrical performance experience blending original music, reimagined songs, live piano, storytelling, drag, humor, and theatrical transformation into an intimate exploration of identity, vulnerability, reinvention, and connection.

PJ Casbar received his BFA in Speech and Theater from Montclair State College and continued advanced studies at Hult Ashridge International Business School in England. A lifelong performer and creative producer, he co-created and performed with a cappella groups throughout the tristate area before co-owning a national children’s production company. He later built a successful career as a Regional Director and Director of Retail for major companies throughout North America.

Tom McCormack is a singer-songwriter whose music has been featured in film and television, including the feature film David Searching starring Anthony Rapp and Camryn Manheim. His releases on Spotted Dog Music include Missing, Rose Colored Glasses, and Running With Light. He is co-founder of the Gay/Lesbian American Music Awards (GLAMA) and co-owner of Resources Real Estate in Rumson, NJ. Tom has performed at clubs, colleges, Pride Fests and venues across the U.S.

Together, Casbar and McCormack create emotionally charged, genre-defying performance work that moves between camp, confession, concert, queer ritual, and unexpected moments of human connection.
