2026 Philly Fringe lineup just announced! FringeArts Members Presale on now. Tickets go on sale to the general public 7/17 at 10am.
The Shadow Company is a teen-led devised theatre organization of participants aged 13-17 partnered with professional theatre artists. Each year, the Shadow Company devises an original show each year from scratch, through workshops, movement exploration, writing sessions and more.
This year's production is set in a postapocalyptic near future and revolves around themes of groupthink, the ethics of survival, collective memory and collective identity. From the writers: "Being divided as a world has led to neglect of the environment leading to this destruction/disaster. People who have never before thought they could become united have to help each other out in this hard time...leading to complex relationships."
601 W Allens Ln
General Admission: $25
A performing arts company made up of high school students, Shadow Company members learn about all aspects of the theater-making process, including on and offstage roles. With an ensemble-based methodology, they work with a director, professional artists and industry leaders to build their skills as artists, collaborators, leaders, and citizens.
