UNHINGED: For Her Pleasure

Snapp and Kat's Big Fat Work in Progress

Clown, Comedy, Interactive Experience, Improv/Sketch/Stand-Up, Theater

Connect

The two bravest performers in Philadelphia join forces for an hour of unprecedented levels of confidence, controlled chaos, and cringe. Anna Snapp and katherine perry join bodies for a theatrical experience that will somehow make you wanna smash AND pass.
Their buoyant presentation of the *Fat Experience* fulfills nearly 82% of your daily protein intake. And you know you’re not getting enough protein.

Grab tight onto Snapp & Kat’s backrolls for the ride of your life as they glorify obesity and slap you serious with the realities of being shamed into the shadows and stealing the spotlight anyway. Hear them out, this clown show is more than disjointed absurdity. The Big Fat Work in Progress begins.

Please laugh. It's fatphobic if you don't.

A Home for The Homemade

The Lemonade Stand strives to create a home for new work and new artists in the expansive Philadelphia arts community. We prioritize the development process, community, and partnership. We are committed to being rough around the edges, adaptive to each process, and true to the artist's vision.

A company by and for emerging theatre artists, we aim to foster and celebrate communities of artists who create beyond The Lemonade Stand. We want to bring artists of all mediums to collaborate, find community, and unlock new creative possibilities. We are successful when artists collaborate outside the Lemonade Stand and we are proud to be a part of the next generation of Philadelphia artists.

We love homemade.

About the Artist

Snapp & Kat are two millennials creating work where Fatness is present, and kinda the point. We are exploring the radical joy, acceptance, and controlled chaos we could have never embodied in our 20s. In a world full of cottage cheese hacks and GLP-1s, just existing in a fat body is a political act. And what do we do when the fascists come to play? We steal as much joy as we can. We shout the experiences they strive to silence. And we create spaces where we can laugh. Because it is that serious.

Anna Snapp is a multi-hyphenate performer, writer, comedian, and content creator based in Philly and New York. Her two solo shows and other work have been showcased at Edinburgh Fringe, Capital Fringe, Off-Broadway at Theatre Row, Philly Fringe/Cannonball Festival, The Brick Theater, Blunt Ensemble, and for medical establishments and conferences nationwide. Her social media content is rooted in self-love, absurdist comedy, body-positivity, and openness about her past with trauma and illness. @theannasnapp www.annasnapp.com

katherine perry [they|she] is a queer actor, trauma-conscious educator, director, intimacy choreographer, creative engine, and professional fool.
