We Can Always Tell

Kendall Niblett

Dance, Performance Art, Storytelling & Spoken Word

Connect

We Can Always Tell is a one human production imagined and performed by Kendall Niblett. Using dance, poetry, and visual art as mediums and their body as the instrument, Kendall transposes their experience medically transitioning into an evening length dance performance that emphasizes how all humans know the feeling of their own bodies hurting them, physical limitations, or feeling disturbed by their reflection.

Each facet of Kendall's performance whether it be poetry, movement, or set design is derived from materials collected from their family members, friends, lovers, and passing strangers. As attacks on the trans community rapidly increase, this show is meant to radically initiate self-reflection, and inspire those who see it to be kinder to themselves and the people around them.

All are invited to circle the stage at the Icebox Project Space and experience original choreography, costuming, set design, and poetry that challenges what the eyes and ears perceive.
