Set in a queer night club, Xposure Rd follows five queer sex workers and their relationships with sexual performance. When the owner of the club threatens to censor the performers, they start to rebel against him. Paulie and Maxxx are at a crossroads: do they want to continue performing? As they struggle with planning for their future, they celebrate the community they’ve formed. With the use of musical interludes inspired by burlesque, porn, and private dancing, Xposure Rd take you on an intimate drive through the sex work industry. What are the limits to sexual performance? And can we take you over the edge? Content Warning: This piece contains full nudity, stimulated masturbation, and mentions of abortion. Xposure Rd was originally written by Reese Pasquarello, further devised by SCRAP HAUS Collective.

SCRAP HAUS is a new theater collective based in Philadelphia/New Jersey, founded by Reese Pasquarello, Laura Mancano, and Gabrielle Wilson. The collective focuses on devising new works that aren’t afraid to get abrasive and messy. SCRAP HAUS believes that art should be rough around the edges and not afraid to challenge the boundaries. A SCRAP HAUS piece is always grotesque and immersive, no matter the subject matter. This is their Fringe premiere.
