Nxt Thrsdy in association with The Henrietta Project proudly present a staged reading of Shakespeare’s – ANTONY & CLEOPATRA: A Shakespeare Jawn – as part of the 2024 Philadelphia Fringe Festival. The production is a re-imagining of the tragic drama as Philly love story, told with music, movement and a Philly-fied twist on the language of the Bard. ANTONY & CLEOPATRA: A Philly Jawn is directed by Brittany Gallman and features a cast 15 talented local actors and actresses.

The Henrietta Project, a Black-female led Shakespeare troupe base in Philadelphia, Pa. Led y Brittany Gallman - @brittany_gallman - the troupe is dedicated to performing works of William Shakespeare and is named after Henrietta Vinton Davis, the first Black woman to professionally perform Shakespeare in the US).
