A dark comedy set in a confessional, “Dirty Priest” is deeply human. With justifiable anger, it examines whether we can or should forgive unforgivable collateral damage. Pornography is indicated but not seen. Sexual content is unmistakable but not overt.
davidbdale is the author of 299 "Very Short Novels." David earned his BA and MA from the Writing Seminars of Johns Hopkins University in the Pleistocene era. His play "Sam and Janet Evening" debuted there, then disappeared. He wrote and produced "Crime in 3/4 Time" for Haddonfield Plays and Players and played the Jesus role there in "Godspell." At Hopkins he played Cyrano, the Cheshire Cat, and Hamlet (not that Hamlet, the one in "Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead"). He was a founding member of Philadelphia's Off-Broadstreet Players. As an active member of Philadelphia Dramatists Center (PDC), he has written 8 plays since 2019. "Marks and Lennon" was given a staged reading in the philly free fringe festival of 2019. His play, "Siblings," was produced as part of the 2020 Philadelphia Theatre Week. MUSTSEE THEATER is his production company.
