No. 5 Butchie Alley Gallery is owned and operated by Philadelphia arts icon, Terri Saulin. Saulin is a ceramicist, memory collector, and teacher. She's been practicing the art of art from the moment she begged her parents to let her go to The Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts. To apply, she made a portfolio of painstaking detailed pencil drawings of Freddie Mercury and David Bowie from Circus magazine and got in! Saulin was a member of the first four-year graduating class of 1982. She's been drippin' her mature heat ever since.
Note: Enter Butchie Alley from Federal Street, just before 13th Street. Look for the Isaiah Zagar mural and you're at the right spot. There will be female problem chaos in the alley. Good for you!
