Overview

Welcome to the underground, a sensual discotheque club.

Your ticket is an invitation you to indulge in tiny pleasures. Speakeasy Go-go thrusts you out of isolation into the ecstatic joys and gyrations of the dance floor.

Choinacky shakes it all: go-go-ing through dreamy sunsets, kinky parties, and curious duct tape outfits with their iconic interdisciplinary style. All are shameless provocations to celebrate our truest selves. Let’s get the party started.

Performances DJ-ed live by Saint Manifest.

At the show, attendees will also be able to view and purchase a companion artist zine detailing the pleasureful, artistic archive created in tandem with the performance.

Queer artist Thomas Choinacky’s (he&they) avant-garde performances have been an Editor’s Pick by the Washington Post and he/they have been named a “dance machine” by Philadelphia Weekly. Get the password. Euphoric feelings await you.

Thomas Choinacky

Thomas Choinacky (he/they) is an interdisciplinary artist. They are excited by textures, tastes, and feeling it deep in their muscles. His/Their current practice ask questions about legacy, architecture, and queerness, which has led to experimental performances in stairwells, reenacting ice skating routines in living rooms, and building kinky mummies out of duct tape. Thomas uses vulnerability to expel their demons and tell personal stories that for years felt invaluable or dangerous to share. They offer these parts of themself as opportunities for others to consider their own permissions. Thomas is a company member of Applied Mechanics. Recent: Fierce! Queer Festival, Folsom Street Fair, and a residency at Pink Noise Projects.
